Accenture, a leading global professional services company, has signed a ten-year lease across two floors at the T&G Building. With a combined floor space of nearly 8,000 square metres – 30 per cent of available, leasable space – Accenture’s new Melbourne headquarters will incorporate the very best in agile working practices.
This leasing agreement coincides with the start of refurbishment works at the T&G Building, which commenced in January 2017. Working with appointed contractor Built, Pembroke Real Estate will transform the ground floor with dynamic new entranceways from both Collins Street and Ramsden Place, off Flinders Lane. The works also include the provision of an amenity-rich atrium, upgrades to the office floors and brand new end-of-trip facilities.
Accenture will join long-term tenant of the T&G Building IOOF, which committed in June to another ten-year lease, including doubling its occupancy to 8,000 square metres. With Accenture, the building is now 64 per cent leased.
Our Vice President and Head of Australia, Matthew Knight, said the signing is further endorsement for this transformative project.
We are working to bring the T&G Building into the 21st century, by delivering world-class, flexible workspaces within a heritage building. Accenture has embraced this vision, and understands the value that the T&G Building can bring to its Melbourne operations. Accenture is an international brand and already a significant tenant at a Pembroke property in Washington, D.C. We are delighted to not just be welcoming them to the T&G Building, but to be further building on this global relationship.
The T&G Building’s large campus style floor plates will provide the opportunity to combine three of Accenture’s existing tenancies into one, bringing Accenture’s teams together and encouraging greater connectivity and productivity.
Located in the heart of the Melbourne’s Central Business District, in the Paris-end of Collins Street, the historic T&G Building presents 43,000 square metres of prime grade commercial office and retail space over ten levels. Enhanced by the reconfigured atrium, the prestigious office precinct will boast high ceilings and expansive floorplates of up to 4,000 square metres.
It is intended that Built will deliver Accenture’s integrated fit-out, with the company expected to relocate to its new offices in late 2017 and the T&G Building refurbishment project is due to complete in early 2018.
