Today we announced the signing to Coffee Plaza West and S-Kai, in the heart of Hamburg’s popular HafenCity district.
Domicil, the senior care home specialist, has signed a five-year lease for 715 sq m (7,696 sq ft) of office space at Coffee Plaza West. This news follows a major letting to DIS AG, part of the world-leading Adecco Group, which took 50 percent of the property totaling 2,250 sq m (24,219 sq ft) over four contiguous levels earlier this year.
Specialist marketing agency FCB Hamburg has signed a five-year lease at S-Kai, to occupy 1,383.5 sq m (14,897 sq ft) of space over the third and fifth floors of the distinctive S-shaped building.
Christian Bosiljanoff, Director of Asset Management for Germany commented: Our HafenCity portfolio offers the flexible workspace, campus environment and vibrant restaurant scene that supports the needs of a thriving business community. We are proud to welcome these high caliber businesses to our diverse tenant mix at S-Kai and Coffee Plaza West, where only one floor of space remains.
“We believe in Germany’s long-term growth potential and, following the opening of our Munich office last year, we are now looking to grow the team, as we continue to seek quality investment opportunities in this market.”
The four properties within our 32,000 sq m (344,445 sq ft) Hamburg portfolio comprise Coffee Plaza West , as well as Hamburg American Centre and S-Kai, all ideally positioned around the green open space of Sandtorpark, with views towards the Elbphilharmonie.
In late November we welcomed mama trattoria, a popular Italian restaurant chain born in Hamburg. Mama trattoria joins S-Kai’s impressive restaurant offer, including Matteo Ferrantino’s Bianc restaurant, which won its first Michelin Star in February 2019 for its contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine.
Coffee Plaza West has recently benefited from internal refurbishment and a new lobby designed by international design practice Hasell. In the spring, the roof terrace will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment to provide spectacular views of the Elbe waterfront.
