As we continue to drive sustainability and wellbeing standards across our global portfolio, we have some great news from Germany, as six of our assets have secured their WELL Health-Safety Rating seal.
Our German portfolio includes a selection of office and retail schemes in Munich and Hamburg which are home to high-end fashion brands, multinational businesses and local start-ups. Having received WELL Health Safety Rating at 80 percent of all feasible assets, we are close to maximizing our achievement of providing healthy buildings for both our tenants and the environment.
The WELL Health-Safety Rating seal, awarded by International WELL Building Institute, is testament to the hard work conducted by our German asset management team which is led by Christian Bosiljanoff who have ensured our buildings support the needs of our occupiers.
This includes investing in reducing energy consumption, minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, maximizing health and wellbeing, and enhancing climate resilience across all our German assets. Our German team have also been committed to implementing improved cleaning practices, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This combined with enhancing the air and water quality across our assets have allowed our buildings to stay healthy and safe for our occupiers.
Commenting on our ongoing global sustainability and wellbeing efforts, Caroline Johns, Director of Sustainability, added: “This is a wonderful achievement for our German assets and means that we are now closer to completing our overall WELL Health-Safety Rating seal target for our global portfolio. We look forward to continuing to deliver environmentally sustainable and healthy buildings that produce the best outcomes for our tenants, investors and communities.”
